Creating equity by having awareness and understanding how trauma that students have experienced may affect us.

This workshop is about your well being. As teachers we are often exposed to experiences and life stories that are hard to hear and presented with behaviours that are difficult for us to understand and manage. It is common for people working  with vulnerable children/tamariki to experience stress and at times secondary trauma

This workshop aims to help you understand how trauma can affect teachers who support, protect and serve vulnerable children/tamariki and families/whānau.

At the end of this workshop you will:

Understand what secondary trauma is

Identify the support networks available to you and your colleagues
